At South Redford, we offer more than just a great education—we offer a community where students are known, supported, and challenged from the very start.

 

We begin with a tuition-free, full-time preschool, one of the only district-run programs of its kind in Wayne County. Our preschool is all about setting kids up for success, with a strong focus on early literacy, social-emotional learning, and school readiness.

 

As students move through our schools, they have access to a wide range of pathways designed to meet them where they are and help them grow:

 

The Eagle Scholars Program is our honors pathway for students in grades 6–12. It’s designed for curious, high-achieving students who want to be challenged—and who are ready to lead. Scholars take advanced courses, get one-on-one advising, and prepare for top colleges through a tight-knit academic community.

 

The EDGE Program at our brand-new Innovation Center is perfect for hands-on learners who want to build real-world skills while still in high school. Students can explore fields like culinary arts, automotive technology, welding and fabrication, health occupations, construction, and hospitality—earning certifications and experience that lead directly to jobs or further training.

 

The SOAR Academic Institute is built for students in grades 6–12 who need more flexibility. Whether they’re balancing work, health, or just learn better at their own pace, SOAR blends online learning with personal support and access to all the extracurriculars South Redford has to offer.

 

We pair all of this with Next Generation Classrooms in every school, a strong Success for All reading program in grades PreK–5, and powerful tools for STEM learning, including Chromebooks, 3D printers, robotics clubs, and maker spaces.
